Must Read: Awkward Ways I Met Girls

As it turned out, Bibi had manipulated Rumie’s displeasure at anyone who showed interest in her lover. She must have said something about Clara to Rumie and Rumie just disliked Clara.

Ironically, Clara has been altruistic and actively involved in solving the mystery of her death.

On the day Rumie was murdered, Rumie had suddenly changed our initial arrangement, instead had called Bibi. Bibi had convinced her to withdraw the monies and she did. The three million was one million in a bank. Three banks.

Bibi had made her go to the three banks and withdrawn all the money. Compact in N1,000 notes. Fiften bundles in each person’s big handbag was small potatoes. They had used a car hire.

She had instigated the fight between Rumie and Jay. That explained her sudden change in reaction over her broken vase. Because even though the vase was given to her by her grandmother who had passed on to loving memory, he hadn’t been any upset when I spoke to her on the phone.
After the quarrel, she had gone to buy panadol and bought sleeping pills alongside. Bibi had taken two tablets and didn’t know she was taking the more dosage through the orange fruit juice she was served. The empty pack of juice was recovered in the bin. At the lab, there were traces of the sleep inducing substance.

Rumie had slept, and was finished off while sleeping by strangling. Bibi had strangled the life out of Rumie while Rumie slept not even patient enough for the overdose drift her away from this world. This explain why there were no signs of struggling while being strangled.
Bibi slipped out and went for her passport, with the money.
The following day, she had purposely tempted me while pretending to be pulling off to go bath, just to know what I spoke off with Rumie’s father. Unfortunately for her, it was while attempting to get a morning round I saw that passport.

While I rushed down to the station to see Jay, she had gone for tickets. Bibi had South African citizenship. She had been born there.
After I had told her of Rumie’s dad sending his own private detective, she had arranged to attack me, perhaps to teach me a lesson since I won’t back down from trying to get more leads and they came to pose as being sent from Mr Akeh. I had nearly fallen into the net.
Bibi was flying out with her daughter. Unknown to Rumie, Bibi had a daughter.
The daughter had since been handed over to her family by the police.
Bibi was tried for murder. She pleaded ‘Not Guilty’. But overwhelming evidences put her at the crime scene with. Strong motive and the money recovered. She was convicted and was sentenced to capital punishment by hanging. She is presently awaiting execution, on death row.
The Lame Dame: Eye of a Needle.
Abuja.

I was standing on the balcony leaning on the railing, two floors up overlooking the street below.
The atmosphere inside was thick so I had to stay outside a while for fresh air.
Ifeanyi was inside with three other girls. Femi was inside too. Amongst the three girls was Ifeanyi’s girlfriend, Femi’s girlfriend and a neutral friend.
I was with Ifeanyi about an hour ago waiting for his girlfriend to arrive when Femi called and when Ifeanyi told him I was also around, he immediately said he was coming over.

When Femi would arrive, he had with him his girlfriend and a friend of theirs. And two other items.

Two bottles of red label.

And so an unplanned small house party had began. Ifeanyi’s fridge always has blocks or ice. He liked anything on rocks.
For Ifeanyi and Femi, drinking usually went with sticks of London White. In fact, they both carried packets of it around everywhere they went, everyday.

Ifeanyi then updated his Blackberry messenger personal message to
‘Chilling with Stag and Femi’
But instead of our pix, his display picture was of the three girls.

Of course an update like that will make friends bombard your phone with pings. Yes, Josh had pinged me up to confirm my where-about, to which I confirmed we were truly all together. And soon as Josh heard there was some alcohol flowing, he quickly added
“Hope it has not finished. I’m not alone o”
So the room got thick with smoke, I’m not very sure if they expected the AC would filter the smoke out. I just had to take some fresh air since I wasn’t smoking. I
held a small glass cup, sipping some red label when two cars pulled up across the street. I wasn’t any tipsy so I instantly recognized Josh’s Honda Accord 07 pull up in front.
Immediately following behind was a Toyota Camry 08 popularly called ‘Muscle’. The camry was tinted and the next thing I strained to see was the plate number. None.

Hmmmm

I got curious to see who Josh was coming with. Josh came down and went to the waiting ride behind him. As he approached the car, the driver’s side window powered down some inches.

Josh said something to whoever it was briefly and made to cross over.

An instant later, the front doors opened. Two girls got down. The back door also opened. Another girl got down.

Only Josh. Three girls.

They crossed with Josh. He pushed the intercom on the gate and while the gate man interrogated them, Josh got on the phone. A moment later, the door behind me suddenly jerked open and Ifeanyi stormed out and barked at the security guy
“My friend!, will you open up that gate for a fellow!”
Visibly shaken, the man at the gate started fumbling with the locks. Josh and the ladies stepped in.

Less than 3 minutes later, I heard an excited bang on the door. The air was rent with guys shouts of excitement.

The door behind me jerked open a second time and Josh stood in the doorway, grinning from ear to ear.

“Stag my niggie! Stag the main man, u just dey by yourself dey waka like Johnnie”

In a reciprocal manner, my firm hands thrust forward and grabbed his in a manly handshake
“What’s dope brodah. Join me make we waka small go meet Johnnie naw”
“Johnnie will have a lot of visitors walking to his door this night. And we go borrow that him walking stick this night”
We both laughed. And he went back in.
By now, some music was balsting inside, though a little hushed outside. You’d think there was a club party.
One guy from ground floor came up. Tunde’s father had banned his company with Ifeanyi saying Ifeanyi was bad influence on him. Tunde the young lad who just finished secondary school the year before just loved to have fun. He came up.
Presently, a party was on.
