Serie A: Folorunsho wins Goal of the Month award

Hellas Verona midfielder Michael Folorunsho has won the Serie A Goal of the Month award for February.

Folorunsho’s remarkable strike in Hellas Verona’s 2-2 draw against Juventus at the Stadio Marcantanio Bentegodi won him the individual accolade.

The 26-year-old scored the opening goal of the game with a superb volley from outside the box in the 56th minute.

It’s the first time he will be winning the award.

The creative midfielder is on loan at Hellas Verona from reigning Serie A champions, Napoli.

Born in Italy to Nigerian parents, Folorunsho is eligible to represent the Super Eagles and the Azzzuri.
