Ancelotti Reveals The Two Players Who Will Replace Lionel Messi And Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have dominated world football in the recent years with the pair of them claiming the last 8 Ballon d’Or awards. Last season as well, both Messi and Ronaldo added to their ever growing list of trophies with the Portuguese superstar winning the Champions League title and the Euro 2016championships while the Barcelona star won a very impressive League and cup double.

Now, Bayern Munich boss and former Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has picked the two players whom he thinks can be long term heirs to the two global superstars. Speaking to Media, he said:

“Dybala can make history at Juventus over the next 10 years,”

“He is unique, you cannot compare him to any other player, Dybala and Neymar can become the heirs of Messi and Ronaldo.”

While many people expect Bale and Neymar to take the mantle from Ronaldo and Messi, Ancelotti believes that Dybala is the next big superstar to watch out for.

Former Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelottihas revealed that Gareth Bale’ agent went behind his back to club president Florentino Perez to ask for a change in the Welsh winger’s position mid-season. Gareth bale was an integral part of Carlo Ancelotti’s first season scoring crucial goals in both the Champions League and Copa Del Rey finals.

However, the Welsh winger’s relationship with Ancelotti deteriorated in 2014/15 season as he asked to play in a more central position. Writing in his book ‘Quiet Leadership: Winning Hearts, Minds and Matches’, Ancelotti said:

“One morning in March I received a phone call from the Madrid general director saying that the president wanted to speak with me at the end of training that day. This was very unusual. When I visited the president, he told me that Bale’s agent had been to his office to speak about the ‘Bale situation’,

“In January, Bale’s agent had been saying things and perhaps felt his position was strong because he had already spoken with the president. Now he was telling the president that Bale was unhappy in his position. He wanted to play more centrally.

“The president asked me what we were going to do and I told him ‘Nothing’. It was impossible to change his position at that stage of the season because I would have had to change the whole system and move many more players around. I also told the president that I was surprised the player could not speak directly with me. That would be normal. I would have expected the player to come to see me.”
