CAN Stands With Apostle Suleiman, Demands Sack Of Education Minister

Today at the National Christian center in Abuja, the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria led by the National President, Daniel David Kadzai released a press statement in solidarity and support of Apostle Johnson Suleiman and condemned the DSS attempt to arrest the man of God.

The National Youth President quoted Proverbs 29:2 ‘When the righteous thrive; the people rejoice. When the wicked rule, the people groan’. Then he went on to call on every wicked leader exerting wickedness or hardship on the citizens to refrain from their wickedness or face the wrath of God.

Daniel David Kadzai drew attention to several national issues concerning Nigerians with a special emphasis on Christians. He said that while the war on corruption cannot be said to be over, the personal sense of insecurity hangs everywhere with the deliberate targeting of Christians.

He stated that the southern Kaduna killings were not the only attacks being reflected on. He also mentioned the selected attacks across Nigeria as well as the abduction of Christian girls. He mentioned the destruction of churches in some northern states, the denial of a certificate of occupancy to build churches and the denial of the plot of lands for Christian burial grounds in the north.

He also made mention of the systematic imposition of Muslim traditional rulers over largely Christian communities by state governments who skew the process by using government might and resources.
The CAN youth wing President added that the Christian killings of Methodius Emmanuel in Niger state, Mrs. Bridget murdered in Kano by a mob and Deaconess Eunice Olawale who was killed in Kubwa, Abuja among others and condemned the silence of the Nigerian Government over these deaths.
The president in his statement demanded the resignation or termination of the appropriate ministers of education and all authorities responsible for the removal of the CRK syllabus and modules in the school curriculum while favoring nationalizing and promoting the Islamic curriculum agenda.

The youth wing President also openly condemned the attempted arrest of Apostle Johnson Suleiman by the DSS over an alleged Public Incitement and described the allegation as not only false but as a premeditated tool to achieve a long time ambition.

The CAN youth wing President also condemned the government involvement in the tenure ship or position of Christian churches or ecclesiastical matters. The president also condemned the blanket targeting of church leaders such as the RCCG overseer, Pastor E.A. Adeboye, Papa Ayo Oritsejafor and Bishop David Oyedepo of Living Faith church.

He concluded by saying that if the impunity against the Christians persists, the church would make sure that the APC would not get their votes in all levels in the 2019 general elections and a vote of no confidence would be passed on the entire administration.
