Detention: Court grants Fayose’s ally, Abiodun Agbele bail, awards N5m damages against EFCC

Justice Olukayode Adeniyi of an Abuja High Court has admitted Abiodun Agbele, an aide to governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State to
bail in the sum of N50 million and slammed a N5 million damages against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The Court also frowned at “The arbitrary abuse of power and unlawful detention of the applicant (Agbele) without arraigning him in court of competent jurisdiction in line with the constitution.”

Justice Adeniyi ordered the immediate release of the personal property of the applicant seized by the anti-graft agency.
