Two Popular filling stations, Organiser and Red filling station at located Amunko, Nnewi Okpuno Nnewichi in Anambra state, was razed to the ground this morning after an explosion...suspected to have been caused by a fuel tanker. Fire service and police are currently at the location to deal with the situation. Not sure of casualties... hopefully, there isn't any, photos from the incident beneath.

After interrogating the workers at the site, there was unanimous agreement among them that one of the attendants at the station was dispensing fuel from the nuzzle of the fuel dispenser at the same time when a fuel tank was offloading fuel into the underground tank. This is a very improper conduct which is considered dangerously unsafe in filling stations.

It reminds me of a situation where some drivers will not turn off their engines when they come to buy fuel. People should learn to take safety precautions very seriously.
