Islamic Movement in Nigeria, IMN, has decried the alleged killing of its members in Kaduna by the Special Adviser to governor El-Rufai on Youths, Awwal Yaro Maikyau.
A statement made available to newsmen in Kaduna, Wednesday by Usman Hashim, recalled that on 12th October, 2016, during the members of Islamic Movement in Nigeria, IMN, procession in Kaduna, about four houses along Layi Audu-Na-Audu in Tudun Wada, Kaduna, were attacked by some youths leading to the death of Aliyu Mohammed and Sani Nuhu.
“On Saturday, 15th October, 2016, the Special Adciser to governor El-Rufai on Youth, Awwal Yaro Maikyau led youths armed with dangerous weapons to the affected houses earlier destroyed when the family members wanted to clean their houses. Awwal Yaro Maikyau ordered that the occupants should not clean their houses.
“The action of Awwal Yaro Maikyau and his group was to prevent the occupants of the affected houses from moving back in. They continued their attack on the residents which led to the death of Ali Yahaya.
“After the killing of Ali Yahaya, they injured many others, destroyed 10 houses while valuables were looted by the Awwal’s boys.”
The statement called on Kaduna State government and human right organizations to intervene and ensure that justice is done for peace to reign in the state.
