Man in a wheelchair sentenced to 7 years imprisonment for visa scam

After the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arrested Idris Buhari who is school teacher for Visa Scam, the court has given their verdict and he has been sentenced to 7years in prison with an option of 200,000 since he has paid back the 500,000 to his victim.

A complaint brought against him by Abdullahi Salisu Muhammad of popular kwari market, Kano alleging that he gave the convict, who is a school teacher the sum of #500,000.00 for the processing of Hajj ticket in April, 2012.While he told him that he is a registered travelling agent, but to his greatest surprised the convict was unable to provide the said Hajj ticket and diverted the funds to his personal use and all effort to recover the money or get the ticket as agreed prove abortive, as the convict claimed that the monies were lost to armed robbers.
