Men's Health: Be Warned, Wearing boxers to bed can do this to you

A men's health expert has shared a few risks that come with sleeping in your boxers and briefs.

Dr Brian Steixner warned men that they risk getting fertility problems and it’s better to sleep naked.

Below are his points, get them:

The medic, who is director of the Institute for Men’s Health said sleeping in boxers or briefs can affect the quality of sperm because men's crotches become too warm during the night.

He said: "Your nether regions need to be just the right temperature in order to optimise sperm production.

"More bacteria makes for a higher likelihood that any chafed or irritated skin down there becomes infected."

Do you need more reasons to sleep in the nude?

Sleeping naked helps to cool down the body which in turn aids in lowering blood pressure.

Remember, factors such as drinking, smoking, masturbating and exercising can all play a part in healthy semen.
