MTN iPulse to allow students gain access to more academic resources & social networking apps

The Chief Marketing Officer, MTN Nigeria, Bayo Adekanmbi, has described the recent slash in data and call rates of the re-launched iPulse, as a move to allow students in all tertiary institutions gain access to sufficient academic resources while expanding their social connections.

In a statement made available to the press, the marketing chief stated that, “It is imperative that Nigerian students receive all support necessary for academic excellence and social relevance”.

“This is why we introduced special rates on the MTN iPulse for students in all campuses”, he added.
According to him, the special rate is at 11kobo per second to all networks, N2 per SMS and free access to mAcademy, in addition to free 40 megabytes, every month, and unlimited access to social networking apps including Facebook.

In essence, Bayo Adekanmbi, reiterated that the special rate and freebies are applicable to all universities, Polytechnics, Colleges of Education, Police academies and more.

The MTN iPulse offering was introduced three years ago to facilitate seamless connectivity among the youth community. It has now been repackaged to meet current trends, especially the demand for easy-on-the-pocket data connectivity to surf the internet and keep pace with global advancement in technology and maintain relevance on the social media.

To make it easier for the students, the subscription code still remains the same. MTN customers simply need to dial *406# to migrate to MTN iPulse.
