A young girl has been left in serious pain after her heartless boyfriend poured acid on her while she was sleeping.

A heartless 21-year-old bus conductor has lef many people in shock after he bathed his girlfriend with acid. The incident happened in Ghana.

The evil man identified as Stephen Donkor attacked the girlfriend while she was sleeping. The two had been quarreling as the girlfriend identified as Oforiwaa, 18 had threatened to end the relationship.

Police say Donkor and his girlfriend who lived in a wooden kiosk at Dakurman in Accra, had been quarreling for some time.

On the day of the incident, Donkor returned from work and realised that there was no food to eat. It led to a fight between the two, which prompted a neighbour to intervene.

Later when Oforiwaa was sleeping, Donkor went to pick acid he had hidden under the kiosk and poured it on her.

Oforiwaa is said to have screamed for help, drawing the attention of neighbours, who rushed her to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, where she is still undergoing treatment.

Police say Donkor poured the acid on Oforiwaa because he suspected that she was cheating on him. He has been arrested and charged with attempted murder.
