Reverse your anti-begging law or face dire consequences - Kaduna state beggars tell state governor

Beggars comprising of deaf and dumbs, the blind, crippled, aged persons yesterday staged a protest to the Kaduna state chapter of the Nigerian Union of Journalists where they expressed their displeasure over the anti-begging bill that was signed into law by the state governor, Nasir El-Rufai, last week.

Speaking to journalists at the NUJ secretariat, the beggars said the governor must reverse the lawwithin 7 daysor they will be forced to take over the government house. The group described the new law as insensitive to their plight.
