David Beckham has urged Wayne Rooney to keep playing for England amid calls that he should retire from international duty.

Rooney is set to become England's most-capped outfield player when he makes his 116th appearance in Sunday's World Cup qualifier against Slovakia.

The 30-year-old will break Beckham's record despite calls for him to give up on the national team as managers struggle to find his best position.

However, Beckham used social media to offer his support for the Manchester United captain.
