Teach Me How to Dougie is a pop rap song recorded by American hip hop group Cali Swag District, for their 2011 debut studio album, The Kickback. Ultimately, the title refers to the Dougie dance, which originated in Dallas, Texas.
Runway Star produced the track, while it was written by Charon Childs, Chanti Glee and Corey Fowler.
On April 12, 2010, the song was released digitally by Capitol Records as the first single from the album. The fiery song peaked at number 1 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, hence it’s needless to say Teach Me How to Dougie was a commercial success.
More so, The RIAA has certified the single 2x platinum in the US.
