Didier Drogba pictured sat alongside Guus Hiddink and Roman Abramovich at Stamford Bridge

Didier Drogba has been pictured sat alongside Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich and new interim manager Guus Hiddink.

Chelsea sacked Jose Mourinho this week as the disastrous defence of the their Premier League title continues with the Blues just one point above the relegation zone after losing 9 of their first 16 league games.

Former interim manager Guus Hiddink was confirmed once again as temporary manager of the club, the Dutchman returning to Stamford Bridge for the second time after his successful stint in 2009 when he won the FA Cup.

In the stands today, Hiddink was pictured sitting next to Drogba who has been heavily linked with a coaching role alongside the 69-year-old boss.




Drogba, 37, who currently plays for Canadian MLS club Montreal Impact, has previously spoke of his desire to one day managed Chelsea:

‘There are various things you can do for a club, not only to work as a coach,’ he told the BBC.

‘But I think at one point I want to give back to the club which has given so much to me.

‘Myself and club directors agree on that.

‘Why not manager?’
