Official cars not priority – Osun Speaker replies Minority Leader

Speaker, Osun House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Najeem Salaam, has told the Minority Leader, Hon. Safiriyu Akinwole to forget about new official cars for members.
Salaam made the comment while responding to Akinwole’s demand.
Akinwole who represents Ife East State Constituency (PDP), said “Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola started well but recently due to the economic crunch, the governor is lagging behind in some areas.”
He cited the instance of members of the State 6th Assembly not having official car.
Responding, the speaker said: “Giving cars to honorable members of the State Assembly is not a priority and does not in any way translate to development”.
The Speaker added that they were elected to serve the people and not themselves and that members must be ready to make sacrifices till things got better.
