Blue Christmas is a Christmas song recorded by American singer Elvis Presley, for his 1957 fourth studio album and first Christmas album, Elvis’ Christmas Album.
The song was written by Billy Hayes and Jay W. Johnson; and produced by Steve Sholes. It tells a tale of unrequited love during the holidays.
There have been several versions of this song by various artists, but Presley’s version remains the most popular, reaching number eleven (11) on the British Singles chart.
This is another classic yuletide anthem.
