The Real Slim Shady is a song recorded by American rapper Eminem, from his third (3rd) studio album The Marshall Mathers LP released in 2000. The hardcore/comedy hip hop song was released as the album’s lead single.
It peaked at number four (4) on the Billboard Hot 100 and was Eminem’s first song to reach number one (1) in the United Kingdom.
The song won the Grammy Award for Best Rap Solo Performance, the MTV Video Music Awards for Best Video as well as Best Male Video; making it one of Eminem’s biggest hits.
