Orinoco Flow (Sail Away), is a new age song recorded by Irish singer-songwriter Enya, for her 1988 second studio album, Watermark. It was written by Enya and Roma Ryan.
The Nicky Ryan-produced track was released on October 15, 1988 as the lead single from the album and was globally successful.
Albeit it peaked at Number 24 on the US Billboard Hot 100, the single topped the UK singles chart and charts in countries like Germany, Ireland and Switzerland.
Orinoco Flow was inspired by the Venezuelan/Colombian river of the same name, and the single itself has been certified silver in the UK.
