All by Myself is a soft rock pop song written and recorded by American rock and roll musician Eric Carmen, housed on his 1975 self-titled debut album.
The song was produced by Jimmy Lenner and released in December 1975 as the first single from the album, to great acclaim.
In the US, it peaked at number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the Cash Box Top 100 Singles and Record World chart. it also reached number 1 on the Canadian Adult Contemporary chart, while peaking at number 6 in New Zealand.
All by Myself sold more than one million copies in the United States and was certified gold by the RIAA in 1976.
In 1996, Canadian singer Celine Dion recorded a very popular and commercially successful cover to the song for her album, Falling into You.
