‘Rooney wants to retire at Manchester United’- Kevin Davies

Former England international Kevin Davies believes Wayne Rooney would “love to finish his career” at Manchester United, but fears circumstances may conspire against him.
Rooney is already his country’s all-time leading goalscorer and the most potent marksman in United’s European history, and now needs just one more to draw level with the legendary Sir Bobby Charlton at the top of the Red Devils’ all-time list.

Davies thinks he would like to hang up his boots with United – he is currently tied to a contract due to run until 2019 – but the ex-Bolton Wanderers striker knows from experience that you do not always get what you want in professional football.
