The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has revealed that it would release the May/June 2015-2016 results of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) on Friday, August 5, 2016.

The Head of National Office (HNO) of WAEC, Mr. Olutise I. Adenipekun, made the announcement during a media briefing at the council head office Yaba on Thursday.

He said the exam which was taken by over 1.5 million candidates across the nation would brighten the chances of candidates in using the results for the on-going university admission exercise.

Meanwhile, here are steps to follow below to check your result as from Friday:-

First and foremost, enable that you buy the WASSC/WAEC result checker scratch card for the country that you took the example. For example, if you took the WASSC/WAEC exam in Nigeria, Ghana result checker scratch card will not work for you.

Enter your 10-digit WAEC Examination Number
(This is your 7-Digit centre number followed by your 3-digit candidate number eg. 4123456789)

Enter the 4 digits of your Examination Year eg. 2002

Select the Type of Examination

Enter the Card Serial Number found on the reverse side of your Scratch card

Enter the Personal Identification Number (PIN) on your Scratch card

Click Submit and wait for the results window to come up
