At the age of nine it started growing into a tumour, by 12 it was the size of a fist and he had surgery to remove it. But it quickly started to grow again seriously affecting his life, the 37-year-old man could only lie down or sit on his bed.

Chief surgeon Chen Minliang said, “We have seen neurofibromatosis patients before, but this is the biggest nerve tumor we ever saw. Yang is now recovering well and it expected to be discharged later this month.”
