El-Rufai installs new monarch of Zangon Kataf

KADUNA—Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State yesterday installed Mr. Dominic Gambo Yahaya, as the third Agwatyap of Atyap land, at the Agway tap Palace in Zangon Kataf, amid huge gathering natives and visiting guests.

The governor then used the occasion, which was well attended by dignitaries from all walks of life, to come down hard on proponents of ‘hate’ and ‘self-help’ during conflicts in the state and vowed to prosecute them.

.After installing the Gwatyap and handing him his staff of office, amid cultural and traditional dances and songs,el-Rufai congratulated Yahaya and urged him to build bridges of peace in his chiefdom.

He then descended on those he said were haters of peace and proponents of self-help, saying: “Our state needs everyone in formal and informal positions of leadership to speak up for and to uphold a common humanity.”
