The Flying Eagles goalkeeper has promised to improve against North Korea after his error-strewn performance against the Seleção


Nigeria U20 first choice goalkeeper Joshua Enaholo has admitted he needs to perform to a higher level after conceding four goals in the Flying Eagles 4-2 defeat to Brazil. The MFM FC player conceded two ‘cheap’ goals in the second half against the south Americans who for the fourth time proved their superiority over the Flying Eagles at this level of the competition.

He goofed Boschilia’s 25-yard shot before the hour-mark that swerved wildly before clipping the inside of the post on its own way in before letting in a fourth after allowing the ball to squirm through his legs and enabling Judivan to smash home from a few centimetres out.

The 19-year-old, who is expected to man the goalpost when Manu Garba’s team face North Korea on Thursday said he couldn’t get his grip because the ball was wet.


“My mind was off. The ball was wet and I just couldn’t get my grip properly. I must do better,” Enaholo told Fifa.com.


The Flying Eagles must beat An Ye-Gun’s team at the Stadium Taranaki in New Plymouth on Thursday morning should they dream of qualifying for the second round of the 2015 Fifa U20 World Cup.
