Women Are No Longer Submissive - Nigerian Singer

Nigerian singer, Tosin Martins in a recent interview said women these days are not as submissive as their mothers back then.

In an interview with Schooltips & More Magazine, who has been married for 8 years speaking on the respect a woman ought to give her husband said:“Our women today are of a different breed.

Our women today are not really like our mothers.
The average woman today is not as submissive as their mothers and a guy who is not ready to overlook that weakness would have a problem with marriage. These days you have to argue and defend your views and if it goes well, all parties can then agree. It shouldn’t be that way; there is a certain measure of honour a woman must give a man as the head.”

The music star who said his wife does her best in being submissive, as she can’t be compared to the average girl, speaking further on a woman being submissive said:“But the truth is today’s woman struggles with you saying yes and she just agrees. She would want to know why. She wants to give you her own side of the story. She thinks she is making sense and you are not making sense. Today, a woman tells you she is travelling; she is not asking you for permission. There is some individuality taking place. It’s a major struggle.”
He, however, blamed the issue of women not being submissive to their men on exposure, education and independency saying the woman basically has the same world view as her man and “they are empowered now and have their own voice and want to express.”
The RnB Singer, Tosin Martins who is from Lagos state is popularly known for his Yoruba love song, ‘Olo mi’, ‘Olulofe’which gained massive hit.
Tosin is a lawyer turned musical artists. He has one album to his credit titled ‘Happy Day’ which features hit songs such as ‘Made In Nigeria’ and title track ‘Happy Day’.
The award-winning singer, Tosin hasawrads to his name such as the best new act 2007 of the Nigerian Entertainment Awards in New York, USA and best cross over song, Nigerian Gospel Music Achievers Awards 2006.
Tosin has also performed alongside top international artistes such as Kirk Franklin, Lagbaja, Keziah Jones, Donnie McClurkin, Tu Face amongst others.
He is happily married.
