Nigerian female players have potential to rule the world, says Swiss’ expert

Swiss-born women football promoter and Acting President of Amalgamation of Nigeria Women Football Club Coaches (ANWFCC), Hans Kraimer, has said that the nation has the potential to rule the world if the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is alive to its responsibilities.

According to Kraimer, Nigeria would not struggle to appear in global championships if the Amaju Pinnick-led NFF could monitor the All Stars Women Football scheduled to hold at the National Stadium, Lagos between January 9 and 21, 2017.

The grassroots expert, who is the chairman of the Local Organising Committee and Acting President of the Women Football Carnival, said the organisation of the women football carnival had been a big boost to the amalgamation of Nigeria’s Women Football Club coaches.

He added that there was an overflow of women football talents, which, if well managed, can rubbish the exploits of super powers in women football such as Sweden, United States of America, China and his native country, Switzerland.
Kraimer, however, appealed to the federation not only to organise a credible women football league, but also support ANWFCC with a positive attitude when the next All Stars Carnival begins.

While thanking the China Embassy, PW Nigeria, Den Nigeria, Liebher Nigeria and GTESC for their past support, Kraimer said that support from sports-loving individuals and corporate bodies would be needed to enable more female football stars to be discovered across the country.

He promised that the 20th edition of the carnival would be a better one, while commending other members of the association, which include Godwin Esezobor, Femi Saluade, Diana Asak, Joy Etim, Mike Ayoka and Robert Onwuzuruike for their efforts.
