Euro 2016: France crush Iceland, to face Germany in semi-final

France will meet Germany in one of semi-finals of the European Championship, after they thrashed Iceland 5-2 in their quarter-final encounter on Sunday night.
Olivier Giroud gave the hosts a fine start, lashing home Blaise Matuidi’s floated pass, before Paul Pogba headed in the second goal.
Dimitri Payet and Antoine Griezmann added two more goals before the break, as Didier Deschamps men practically ended the game as a contest within the first 45 minutes.
Kolbeinn Sigthorsson pulled one back, before Giroud added his second and Birkir Bjarnason added a second for Iceland late on.
