I want to prove myself at Manchester City – Guardiola says at his unveiling

New Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has said he wants to prove himself at the club, after he was officially unveiled on Sunday.
The 45-year-old arrives in England, after three years with Bayern Munich, who he won three Bundesliga titles with.

Before then, he won an astonishing 14 trophies with Barcelona in four years, including three La Liga titles and two Champions League crowns.

And now, Guardiola says he wants to repeat all that success at the Etihad.

“I proved myself in Barcelona and after I prove myself in Germany in Bayern and after I want to prove myself and my staff here in Manchester City,” Guardiola declared in front of 11,000 City supporters.

“[The aim] is to try to win every game, every weekend and for Manchester City people to be proud of the way we play, and at the end we will see what is out level to achieve.

“But at the end, after all the games, I want our supporters to be proud of what we did. If the people are not proud there is no point. We need our fans, without that it’s impossible.”
