The last is yet to be heard on the case involving Harrysong and Five Star Music over his breach of contract.

Harrysong’s three-year contract with Five Star is supposed to expire this month, January 2017, but in November 2016 he announced his own label, Alterplate.

The record label, led by ‘Limpopo’ singer Kcee, has now made the first attempt to maintain the terms of his contract by advising the general public to tread with caution and desist from transacting any business with Harry.

Aside releasing none of the three albums mandated in Harrysong’s contract, the record label also claim they lost millions of naira on their estranged artiste.

‘Our move to do things right and professionally with Mr. Harry earned us a Twenty Million Naira (N20,000,000.00) legal suit from Mr. Kevin Luciano of Question Mark Entertainment (Harry’s former label). We were joined as co-defendants with Mr. Harry.’

N5m was paid to settle the lawsuit, out of which Harrysong ‘didn’t contribute a dime’.

‘Knowing the vulnerability of Mr. Harry on the impending legal suit, we solicited the help of certain well respected individuals in the music industry to wade into the matter, one of which was our dear veteran Daddy Showkey,’ Five Star said in their statement.

‘Mr. Luciano having found out our intention from inception to act in good faith, agreed to withdraw his suit against Mr. Harry and our company BUT, not without consequential and settlement fees of Five Million Naira (N5, 000,000.00).’

Meanwhile, Harrysong’s new management are claiming the supposed breach of contract as captured in Five Star’s petition is a civil case and not a criminal case.

Five Star Music gave Harrysong a 2014 Toyota Camry and a brand new Hummer Jeep during his time with the label

‘I wish to also state that Harrysong did not at any time approach anyone or company to sign him; it was rather the other way round,’ Harrysong’s spokesperson said in their statement.

‘Kcee approached Harrysong on bended knees to help salvage his dying career after he fell out with his then partner.’

We’ve has also gathered from a reliable source that Five Star Music never collected a dime from Harrysong’s performance fee because they thought it was all family.

They also gave him a 2014 Toyota Camry and a brand new Hummer Jeep during his stay with the record label.’
