Shooting Stars not assured of NPFL survival yet – Ogunbote

Head coach of Shooting Stars, has warned his players that survival in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), is not yet guaranteed despite their 4-0 win over Kano Pillars on Sunday.
The Oluyole Warlords were in brilliant form, as they avenged their 6-0 hammering from the reverse fixture. Sunday Adetunji scored twice, while Ifegwu Ojukwu and Ajani Ibrahim also found the back of the net.

Ogunbote has however called on his team to keep fighting, if they want to remain in the top flight next season.

“It was a good performance from my players and I must also congratulate them for a job well done,” he told Completesportsnigeria.com.

“But we must also not forget the fact we are still not safe from relegation which is why we must not celebrate too much.

“We are now in the crucial part of the season which makes every result important.

“If we can maintain this type of performance in all our remaining games we can be sure of staying in the top flight.”
