4 Premier League Stars Fight For Player of The Month Award

The English Football Association, FA, has released a list of 4 players to vie for the August 2016 Player of The Month Award.

1. Raheem Sterling
Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling is among the four nominees for the first Player of the Month award of the new campaign following his impressive start to the season.

The Englishman has looked revitalised under Pep Guardiola this term after a disastrous Euro 2016 showing, scoring two goals and claiming one assist across City’s first three games.

2. Eden Hazard
Eden Hazard is also in contention, having started this season where he ended the final few weeks of 2016-17 with some breathtaking displays, helping Chelsea to a perfect start courtesy of two strikes.

3. Antonio Valencia
Valencia has also helped out at the back, keeping two clean sheets thus far to help the Red Devils take joint lead at the summit at this early stage in proceedings.

4. Curtis Davies
The four-man shortlist is completed by Curtis Davies, who has been arguably the key man in Hull City‘s surprise start to the season, in which they have taken six points from the first nine on offer.

The winner of the inaugural 2016-17 Player of the Month award will be announced next week.
