U Remind Me is an R&B song by American singer Usher, for his 2001 third studio album 8701. It was written by Anita McCloud and Edmund Clement –who produced it along with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.

The song talks about a man who meets a woman who seems like a nice catch, but he decides not to enter a relationship with her because of the déjà vu of an ex-girlfriend with whom he had a bad breakup.

The track was released as the lead American single from the album on May 19, 2001 and eventually topped the US Billboard Hot 100. It also reached the top five in the UK, Australia, Belgium, France, the Netherlands and New Zealand.

U Remind Me earned Usher his first Grammy Award for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance in 2002.
