OOU Lecturers Begin Strike Over 16 Months Unpaid Salaries

After embarking on a peaceful protest on Monday over the nonpayment of their 16 months salaries by the State Government, the lecturers of the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, Ogun State yesterday began an indefinite strike.

The strike action took effect in all the institution’s campuses.

The ASUU Chairman, OOU branch, Dr. Deji Agboola, said the lecturers resolved to embark on the strike as the Governing Council and the management of the institution had kept mute over their demands.
