Animashaun kept saying prayers, thanking God.

Asmau’s face was brighter than they had been for the past five years.
“You said something about wedding. Zeenat.” Sadiq to Humaira.
“Yes she is getting married this week.” Sadiq’s heart thumped. Humaira could see the
look on his face.
“She never stopped loving you.” she said to him.

“Even now that she is getting married, she is till fixated on you even though she thinks you are
dead. She hardly even talks to her fiancée.”
“I have to see her.” he said. He may have lived the last five years of his life a different person, he
may have lost five years with her, but he wasn’t going to lose her forever. He didn’t care going
into a brawl with her fiancée.

“Vanessa! How is she?” he asked his parents as soon as the thought of her crossed his mind.
“She relocated to London.” his mum replied.
“She has always wanted to do that.” he said.
“But she only did that when we thought you…you were gone.” Asmau said. “And she is engaged now.”
“Really? Unbelievable! Vanessa engaged? Who is the brave man that finally conquered her stubborn heart?” he asked surprised.
“I don’t know him. But she shared the picture with me on facebook.” said Humaira showing
Sadiq the picture. “She is online. I told her that you are alive but she totally doesn’t believe me.

She sent me sad smileys, a lot of them” laughed Asmau.

“Asmau!” her mother called. “You couldn’t even wait for him to contact her himself.”

They laughed. There was this happiness and togetherness among them again, like before, like
years ago when everything were the way they were, when life was simple and it wasn’t
complicated.
“I think I should log into my facebook and message her.” Sadiq mischievously.
“You still remember your password?” Humaira and Asmau chorused.
“It’s a name I can’t forget.” he smiled and typed the name.

For a moment he froze. There were lots of messages, and his timeline, his timeline was what
froze him. Right there were comments from friends and friends of friends wishing him a
perfect rest in the other world. The ‘rest in peace’ where so much that he felt uncomfortable and logged off immediately.
