Group Calls On PMB To Include More Women In Governance

The Buhari Friends Organisation, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to include women in his government, noting that women arenecessary for nation building .

The national coordinator of Buhari Friends Organisation, Saint Athanasius Okon said this yesterday in Abuja when she led some of her executives on a courtesy visit to the National Council for Women Societies(NCWS), added that women form the majority needed to actualise government’s policy on diversification .

She stressed the need for women to be included in government especially in agriculture as well as other key sectors of the economy.

Okon also added that women were needed now more than ever in order to build up the already battered economy and introduce them into managing sensitive department for faster economic growth and development in the country to bring positive change .

She explained that the organisation’s primary aim is towards nation building in order to enhance women empowerment as well as development through various means programmes, including seminars, conferences and training skills, as government alone cannot do all to move the country forward .
