Gerald came up with an idea on how to win Sade’s heart again after pondering all through the night. He’d spoken to the doctor the previous day and the man had told him sade will be discharged on Wednesday.
He decided to use that day to execute his mission.

Sade couldn’t wait to leave the hospital, she was glad when the doctor told her after examining her that morning that she’ll be discharged on wednesday.

” Your condition had really improved, there’s no point keeping you. But you’ll keep coming regularly till your head heals completely ” the young doctor told her.

” Thank you so much doctor, I really can’t wait to go home ” sade said happily. ” Make sure you take your drugs ” the doctor advised. ” Of course I won’t forget that”
Sade was thrilled when wednesday finally came. Her mom and Bukola had come to take her home. Gerald and his friends had promised to come immediately after work.

Sade had taken pictures in the hospital’s wear with her bandaged head.

” I really don’t know why you’re taking pictures in this dress ” bukola said pointing at the hospital wear as she snapped Sade.

” I just want to have pictures of my stay here that’s all ” sade told her. While her mother packed her things.

Sade’s face fell when Tony and Segun came in without Gerald. She’d missed him and she really wanted to see his face.

” Where’s Gerald? ” She asked Segun
” He is at work, an emergency came up at work. But he promised to come see you at home ” he explained.

She felt really bad, did she think she can spend the rest of her life without him? She was fooling herself.

She took more pictures with Tony, Segun and Bukola after she had changed into the casual gown her mom brought.

Bukola carried the small bag containing Sade’s drugs and personal effect which she’d brought.

Sade had told all of them to stop treating her like an invalid. Indirectly referring to Tony who kept holding her like she’ll miss her step and fall.

Sade was laughing at a funny remark Tony made as they approached the reception, when her eyes caught Gerald figure.

She froze.

Gerald immediately went on his knees drawing attention from other people.

” Sade…” He began slowly
” I have found my missing rib, you’re everything I want in a woman. I don’t want to prolong things with too much talk ” he paused staring at her. ” Please marry me ” he begged bringing out a small gold jewelry box.

Sade saw the ring in the box, it had a transparent hexagonal aquamarine cut.

The reflection from it spoke a million about it worth.
It was damn expensive! Sade trembled.

Immediatelt Tony and Segun also went on their knees creating a scene already.
it was part of their plan.

Gerald had engaged them in his little ‘ Get wiffy plan’.
” Please sade ” they said in unision.

Sade stared at her mother who had tears in her eyes. Her eyes locked Bukola’s urging her to say YES!.

She looked at the expensive glistening ring in the jewelry box then looked at Gerald again.

Slowly she gave him her finger.

” Yes… Yes I’ll marry you ” Gerald heaved a sigh of relief placing the ring on her finger.

He got up followed by Tony and Segun.

Sade didn’t realize people were watching not until they began clapping, different voices saying ” congratulation ” came from various corners of the hospital.

Sade smiled holding Gerald in a tight embrace.

No amount of water can quench love!
